Why you shouldn’t limit motivation to just one day of the week.

 

Most people subscribe to the mantras of using each day as a focus for different activities. For example, people recognize days with the names "Spiritual Sunday," where Sunday is the day to get in touch with one's spirit and the universe around them. Or "Taco Tuesday," where a person, of course, eats tacos! There are Women Crush Wednesdays, Throwback Thursday's and Monday has a couple. Man Crush Monday's and everyone's favorite. Motivation Monday!

 

I say Motivation Monday is everyone's favorite because that is when I see the most posts about getting your motivation on for the week. Now I don't want to make it seem like there is anything wrong with "Motivation Monday." The day certainly has its place in the days of the week, and Monday is technically the workweek's beginning. But why only limit ourselves to being motivated on Mondays?

 

There is an old proverb that goes something like this... When is the best time to plant a tree? The answer 20 years ago. When is the second-best time to plant a tree? Right now.

 

All too often, people put off their goals, hopes, plans, dreams, and aspirations for later. People say I'll start next year, or next month, or even next week. That's where the fake (as I'll call it now) motivation Monday comes into play. Why put off chasing your dreams until Monday when you can start RIGHT NOW!

 

Take an honest look at your life and your surroundings, and ask yourself. Self. What in the world is stopping you from making that positive change that you have been dreaming of today? Is it because it isn't the right time of year? Or maybe it isn't the right time of the month. But make it for sure that the issue with you starting work on your goals isn't because it isn't the right day of the week!

 

Every day is motivation day! Every day you wake up is a day for you to tackle any challenges that come between you and your goals. Don't be in a group of people that are always waiting for the right time to start. I'll let you in on a small secret. Do you want to know when the right time to start is? Short answer. NOW!
